Well, quite a crazy and fast moving year. However it has turned out so far, I am patient and grateful for how life has taken its turn for its own cause, for me. I’ve learnt alot and experienced alot along the way and even though it may not be easy, I am staying positive for what is to come. I had previously left theatre productions to start gigging around a bit, to build myself up as a musician and to brush up my performance skills. Some good, some bad along the way and I am very glad that it ended with quite a fulfilling bang. Librations of the Moon just ended and it has been the best thing that has happened to me as a sound artist and musician. It may not be the biggest thing, but definitely one of the most fulfilling ones; where I finally performed on an instrument I am most comfortable with (piano) but did it in an unconventional way (broken piano + sampling + processing + improvisation). With Librations, I think, I’m coming to an end of my gigging phase this year (who knows…) and ending the hiatus on theatre (yes, going back into productions now). I’ve updated photos of Librations of the Moon on site. Just click on the image to visit the site for more photos and details of this wonderful night. A big thank you to Terence, Zul and Randolf. Really, it was such an honour. And a big lovely hug for my girlfriend who has been so supportive and loving all these while.

No, it’s not the end to my gigging life, just taking a break for now. Next year, I’ve been invited to perform solo as sonicbrat in sound and music festivals held in Hanoi (Vietnam) and in Sweden, and possibly more countries (still discussing). Looking forward to it all!

PS: remember to check out Zul’s DIY synth; he is truly an amazing artist. And by the way, the fabulous Matrixsynth (one of the biggest synth blog in USA) has put up a post on Librations of the Moon thanks to Zul’s beautiful DIY synths! Check it out by clicking HERE.
